



Selections from Dear Mr. Duncan
As part of our celebration of Black History Month, we will be presenting a program of selections from Dear Mr. Duncan, a musical I wrote to highlight the contributions of Todd Duncan. Duncan was the first Black vocalist to sing with a major opera company and was the first Porgy in Porgy and Bess. He was an artist, educator, and advocate for equal rights in Washington, DC.

Join the World MusicCollective as we explore some of these composers, artists, and songs that have influenced art and culture around the world. Our program will include tango, bossa nova, and original music from our Argentinian-American guitarist Cristian Perez.

Matinee.M Concert Series
Matinee.M is an exciting new chamber series bringing together some of the finest musicians in the DC metropolitan area. This program includes the premiere of a new work for soprano saxophone and piano by Australian composer Andrián Pertout entitled La Vita Nuova.

Join the Salon Trio as we celebrate the release of our newest recording, Vignettes: Influential Works of Black Composers. This recording includes original works and transcriptions for clarinet, saxophone, and piano including pieces by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and William Grant Still.


St. Thomas' Parish Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month
